CUSTOM CAMPUS MAP

As Carnegie Mellon University was expanding the need for a campus map became apparent.

The challenge was to design an easy to understand, cost effective map to easily navigate new students around the campus. The map illustration was purposefully created without any extraneous elements so that it can be quickly understandable. The extensive legend has numbers and symbols which are keyed into the map, making it easy to find locations within the campus. An inset graphic shows the campus in relation to the downtown area and other CMU satellite facilities.

The map was well received by the student body and has become a standard handout to all visitors to the Campus including parents, potential students and visiting professors.
